Fellas, I know that life is hard. You feel like the world is on your shoulder, and you have a lot being asked of you. You feel pressure all around.
I understand that you feel unappreciated, unheard, devalued, not respected, unmotivated, discouraged, misused, and alone.
Life doesn’t feel fair to you. I understand your feeling, and I sympathize with you.
You have been made to feel that you are stupid, uneducated, unintelligent, weak, undiscerning, and irrelevant.
I apologize to you. I believe that it is far from the truth that you don’t have a clue about life and what is going on around you. What I think is that many of you have checked out. The frustration is causing you to want to give up. Some of you have realized that being a man is not about how many women you can manipulate and get into bed. Many of you realized that you didn’t have a father to teach you the healthy way of approaching life, and now you have to figure it out on your own, only to be met with much resistance.
It may feel unfortunate to you that this is the life you have to live, but God has created you to lead and has given you everything you need to survive.
The key is that you do not give up.
The key is that you correct what is wrong.
The key is that you do not abandon your responsibilities.
The key is that you treat others how you want to be treated.
The key is that you do EVERYTHING you can to contribute to life.
The key is that you give back to your community.
The key is that you be present in your home.
The key is that you teach and educate your children and other young men.
The is that you take care of yourself.
The key is that you work, whether it is through innovation, working on a job or two, building your own business, or helping around the house until you find substantial employment.
The key is that you have realistic expectations.
The key is that you acknowledge God and partner with him concerning your life through prayer, meditation, reading scripture, and being led by the spirit.
Women need you, whether they recognize it or not, your children need you, your community needs you, and more importantly, God needs you.
Lead my brother!
I am rooting for you!
